Bringing Out The Poet In You…

Procrastination, frustration, dreams, future goals and accomplishments towards getting things done….
These are some of the things that hold us back from bringing out our talents and sharing them with the world.
Just like some poets…there is a struggle, not to get it on paper, but to keep it moving and sharing with the world your talent. If it’s always been a dream of yours, what is it that holds you back from making that dream a reality.
The dreaming process is the easiest part of the road to success. Dreaming takes no boundaries, talent or skill. Just close your eyes, dream and wish up some stuff. However, putting the actual dream into action is where the skill comes in. Things like knowledge, courage, stamina, faith, hope, integrity, longevity and self confidence are the action words we need to start dreams in motion. These are the real verbs that play major roles in us succeeding to the completion of our dreams.
~ Do you have a poetic side?
~ Do you have a dream to share your talent with the world but are struggling to make it happen?
~ Have you been there but are now making things happen or did you just give up?
~ What is you biggest dream for your poetic talent?
~ What is you biggest set back?
~ What have you done thus far to reach your goals?

The SHERO Within…

Have you ever been forced to reckon with the the hero within the woman. We call this a SHERO. A shero to us are women that have faced horrifying, life threatening and life changing situations, yet soldier on despite of them. One of our most adored S-H-E-M-A Gurls member “Diana” once called US her sheros. This statement has never been taken lightly, because to be a hero of any fashion or form, you would have had to made a difference in the lives of others or your own.
This blog is dedicated to women that have OVERCOME and while overcoming, are still helping others. It is also a tool to teach women how to protect themselves while implementing the confidence and skills to do so. This blog is also a reminder that sisterhood is key to achieving goals. With sisterhood we understand that working together not only builds self character, but it also builds a stronger SHERO in YOU.
We have recently had the honor of meeting a woman that has fit this profile to a “T”….
Elsie Allen, the founder of “Sisters SOS” (sisters supernaturally overcoming situations). Her mission is to provide women with information, tools and training essential for a safe and secure life. The vision of Sister’s S.O.S is to prepare women today and future generations of women with a safety plan of action that will help them avoid danger if possible, defend themselves if necessary and most importantly, know how to survive unsafe situations.

Sisters SOS want to always recognize the women who have made a difference in your lives by sharing these stories of encouragement with others.
Please visit her site and won’t you come join us as we speak with Elsie Allen on Friday July 17th @ 8 p.m. PST 10 p.m CST 11 p.m. EST. This will be our first interview back from break, so we are excited to hit the radio waves once again. She will be specifically speaking on ways women can protect themselves while having information, skill and knowledge to perfect the shero within all of us.
~ What have you overcome?
~ Who is your Shero?
~ Have you become a shero to someone in your life?
~ How can you help strengthen someone facing a life changing situation?
Caring is sharing and we look forward to hearing from you all,
~ Your SHEMA Team ~

Business As Usual…

Having a home business or owning a personal business, with a family, daily routines and errands, it can become rather grueling. As we take on the task of opening shop, living dreams and setting goals, we really need to set time aside for ourselves to recoup from the day to day demands of running, upkeep and success of the biz.
Work from home professionals encounter a variety of stressful situations. Work from home job stress can decrease work productivity, cause health problems and increase the chances of job burnout. These tips will help reduce work from home job stress. To keep business as usual.

Some things that may help:
Plan Daily
It is important to plan daily for deadlines and tasks that need to be completed. Make lists and prioritize them to help reduce work at home job stress. Mark the list when tasks are complete.
Allow Time
Often work from home job stress is caused by tasks taking longer then expected. When setting up daily tasks, allow plenty of time. Allow plenty of time for appointments, meetings and deliveries. Having to rush through jobs will increase stress and decrease efficiency and customer service.
Take Time to Eat
Its difficult to concentrate and make wise decisions when one is hungry. The body cannot focus well. Eat small, high protein snacks during working hours to maintain energy. Employees at traditional jobs get lunch and dinner hours. It is important for work from home employees to take similar eating breaks during working hours.
Exercise
Take a brisk walk in the morning to plan the day can be both relaxing and important. The body metabolism speeds up after exercise. Walking in the morning will increase energy for the next several hours. During the middle of working hours, take time to walk around, stretch and become more alert.
Take Time to Relax and Sleep
Take time at the end of working hours to relax. It is important to get regular sleep and to relax each day. It is difficult to concentrate when the body is tired. Work production decreases when employees are sluggish.

Now We Ask You:
~ What do you do to relieve stress of working from home?
~ Do you have something to share that may help our readers?
~ Do you have proper space in your home for the work you do?
~ Are you happy with deciding in becoming your own boss?
~ How does working from home help or affect you family?
All comments will be added to an upcoming show on Blog Talk Radio. Your views are appreciated.
