Backing Inspiration…

Have you ever come across a person that was positive all the time and you were like: Are they for real?
That my be because positivity is something lacking in today’s society. We live our lives not giving one sincere thought to the people around us. In this day and age, it seems to be a fade to live a life of greed and selfishness. It seems to be an “in” thing to esteem our own selves, while giving little or no thought to others, especially in business.
We all want the same things in life right? Success! Plain and simple, we all want success. How grand to make the climb to success a pleasant one. We must remember, there are steps that lead upward and there are steps that lead downward on each ladder. Thus, on the way up, be a voice of inspiration to the passerby, for you’ll never know if you’ll need encouragement on your continual climb up.

Backing Inspiration simply means that you aspire to inspire. Build up a friend, stroke an ego, make someone smile, be available to help others by the knowledge you may have to offer and last but not least, practice what you preach so that your words maybe worth the breath you speak.
Practicing what you preach is not hard to do, Diana of Internet Marketers Network and Sylver of The Difference Network do it all the time. These are two wonderful people that are backing inspiration. They have both built strong networks that prove that everyday. Their businesses/networks benefit others traveling the road to success. They are daily making themselves available for others and showing that they are examples of Inspiration, Networking, Business and Unity.
We will be speaking with them on the next S-H-E-M-A GurlsRadio Show. We’d like to hear from you all about the people that have inspired you on your way to success.
~ Who has inspired you most?
~ How have you inspired others?
~ If not, will you begin inspiring people around you?

Living The Pipe Dream

~ You’ll never amount to anything!
~ That idea is silly!
~ Do you really think YOUR capable of that?
Those are just a few questions negative people ask when you tell them your dreams of the future
~ What are your dreams of success and what are the awful things people have said to you to discourage you from the reality of future success?
Sometimes the negativity comes from the dourness of people, ranging from family, friends and co-workers. These are people that we regularly life our life surrounded by, yet are the very same folks that discourage us the most.
Maybe you’ve heard things like:
~ That Pipe Dream of yours will never really make it.
~ Why ARE wasting your time with foolishness.
~ You’ll never make any REAL from those DREAMS.
The S-H-E-M-A Gurls encourage you to live each and every one of your dreams. Not to prove that it can be done so others can see, but for YOU to see. You can live your dreams and with much added success to boot.
Oprah Winfrey had a pipe dream, she wanted to have her own syndicated television show. People laughed at her and told it was impossible, but look where she is today! Don’t fool yourself into to thinking a pipe dream dear to your heart is tomfoolery.
We also have a member of S-H-E-M-A, Vyda Harris aka Ms Blue, she is a woman that has decided to live her dreams of becoming a photographer. Blue_Chrome_Photography is her company. We are proud that she took a leap of faith in herself and like my biz partner always says, “she did the doggon thang”!
Meet her on our next show as we all share feelings and experiences on this topic.
Martin Luther King had a dream. Mahatma Gandhi had a dream. Albert Schweitzer, Abraham Lincoln, Jonas Salk, and Neville Bonner all made a difference. People we don’t know have made a difference too. You and me, ordinary people have made a difference in this world. But…
~ What do you dream for?
~ What dream do you make a goal?
~ What dream do you give up on?
~What dream becomes broken?
~ What heartache will we endure by NOT seeking your goals?
Hope to see you all there next Friday,
~ Your S-H-E-M-A Team ~

It’s a known fact that most crime victims are women. What can we do to protect ourselves and feel safe? Well for most of us it’s having a gun around that will help. It is also a new phenomenon of women gun owners for a lot of different reasons. More women are packing heat just to feel safe. If you live in a high crime area, live alone or have been victimized before you are probably one of them. It’s not just a fashion statement.

The law says you can shoot to kill if you are in reasonable danger. Although carrying a gun may make you feel at ease experts warn if you aren’t prepared to pull the trigger, you shouldn’t own a gun.
If you are a woman and are thinking about owning a gun you should first get the proper training. This will solve a lot a problems like trigger happy fingers or being just too scared to even pull the trigger when danger is staring you right in the face.
~ How do you feel about women and guns?
~ What do feel is reasonable danger to use a gun?
~ Have you ever been victimized?
~ What about the issue of having guns in the home with small children, how can we protect them from unneccessary harm?
~ Are you a woman gun owner and does it make you feel safe or are you still hesitant about using it or carrying it on your person?
~ How do you feel about the President’s Stand on Gun Control?

Should I Start A Business Now???
Posted by SHEMA Gurls on
April 30, 2009
A lot of us are thinking of starting a business but we’re scared. Especially now with the economy the way it is. Is it really a good time to start that business that we have been dreaming of?
Most times it only takes a small investment and a product to get you started.
For other types of businesses it may take a little more of an investment to get you started.
We searched the web and found an article with the top 5 reason’s to start a business now: These top 5 reason were taken from an article written by Maria Watson of http://prosper-2009.com
==============
1. No pink slip
With people losing their jobs every day, it is a tough time to be working in this economy. Every day there is the fear of losing your job and the uncertainty has started to take a toll on many people. By starting your own business, you never have to worry about receiving a pink slip. It is extremely liberating financially and psychologically when it comes to being your own boss.
2. Prospects! Prospects! Prospects!
If there is one thing that is not secure in the economy today, it is your job. This is an extremely troubling and difficult thing to take in. What you will find online is that there is an endless amount of prospects to deal with. As long as you are motivated and willing to take action, you will find that you can double or even triple the amount of prospects you generate.
3. Tax incentives
There is not a person that enjoys paying large amounts of taxes. Why would you want to hand over a large portion of income that you have generated? By owning your own business, you will find that there are some tremendous tax incentives to take advantage of. You will finally be able to keep a large portion of income that you have invested so much effort into.
4. Now is the time
If you have received a pink slip, chances are you do not have a backup job to turn to. Instead of sitting around pouting or waiting for another opportunity to come up, jump on the opportunity of a lifetime. The sky is the limit for what you can get from starting your own business. You can potentially make a great deal of money from your own business online.
5. Invest in yourself
While the market is down, now is the time to believe in yourself and start taking advantage of the opportunities available. If you are going to succeed online, you have to have the right mindset and determination. If you are willing to invest the effort and time into yourself and the opportunities that are online, you can profit greatly.

The Grown Child Effect…
Posted by SHEMA Gurls on
April 16, 2009
Adults living with non resolved issues from childhood may effect adulthood and possibly parenthood.
An Article on Mercola.com reports the following:
Women who were physically or sexually abused as children are far more likely to enter into abusive relationships as adults. The study findings suggest that identifying and helping girls who are being abused or are at risk for abuse can help break the cycle of family violence.
Women who were raped before the age of 16 were more than three times more likely to experience domestic violence as adults and nearly three times as likely to be raped. The frequency and severity of childhood abuse was also associated with abuse in adulthood. Women who abused drugs or alcohol were also significantly more likely to be abused.
The researchers note that abused adults have been found to have higher rates of unemployment and poverty. Sexual abuse is also associated with unwanted pregnancies, multiple sex partners and psychiatric problems.
Overall, 9% of women reported that they had been raped in childhood, 11% reported unwanted sexual activities but no intercourse, 5% said they had been severely beaten by a parent or caretaker one time, and 12% said they had been beaten more than once. Two percent of women reported experiencing all forms of abuse during childhood.
As adults, 17% of the women said they had experienced domestic violence with more than one partner. Eight percent had been raped, and 9% had been sexually assaulted but not raped. Family violence is not only a social and legal issue, but a health issue as well. End
