Living The Pipe Dream

pipedreamspic

~ You’ll never amount to anything!

~ That idea is silly!

~ Do you really think YOUR capable of that?

Those are just a few questions negative people ask when you tell them your dreams of the future

~ What are your dreams of success and what are the awful things people have said to you to discourage you from the reality of future success?

Sometimes the negativity comes from the dourness of people, ranging from family, friends and co-workers. These are people that we regularly life our life surrounded by, yet are the very same folks that discourage us the most.

Maybe you’ve heard things like:

~ That Pipe Dream of yours will never really make it.

~ Why ARE wasting your time with foolishness.

~ You’ll never make any REAL from those DREAMS.

The S-H-E-M-A Gurls encourage you to live each and every one of your dreams. Not to prove that it can be done so others can see, but for YOU to see. You can live your dreams and with much added success to boot.

Oprah Winfrey had a pipe dream, she wanted to have her own syndicated television show. People laughed at her and told it was impossible, but look where she is today! Don’t fool yourself into to thinking a pipe dream dear to your heart is tomfoolery.

We also have a member of S-H-E-M-A, Vyda Harris aka Ms Blue, she is a woman that has decided to live her dreams of becoming a photographer. Blue_Chrome_Photography is her company.  We are proud that she took a leap of faith in herself and like my biz partner always says, “she did the doggon thang”!

Meet her on our next show as we all share feelings and experiences on this topic.

Martin Luther King had a dream. Mahatma Gandhi had a dream. Albert Schweitzer, Abraham Lincoln, Jonas Salk, and Neville Bonner all made a difference.  People we don’t know have made a difference too. You and me, ordinary people have made a difference in this world.  But…

~ What do you dream for?

~ What dream do you make a goal?

~ What dream do you give up on?

~What dream becomes broken?

~ What heartache will we endure by NOT seeking your goals?

Hope to see you all there next Friday,

~ Your S-H-E-M-A Team ~

  2. I believe that no one should HAVE TO do anything they don’t WANT to do. Now, I don’t mean for you to take that all the way literal but when it comes to your earning a living, something that is a HAVE TO already, I think that you should be doing something that you don’t HATE, at least! I’ve gone to work for someone else my whole working life. I’ve never felt like, ok this is what I’d like to do for the rest of my life. Now, that I’ve taken my leap of faith and started my own business venture, I’m so glad I did.

I believe that many people want to start their own business or do something like go to school full time. I also think that most of us are pressed as far as time dealing with work, kids, and home life in general. With that being the case it’s not easy to begin putting effort into something that you love, so you end up in that cycle for years! It’s a hard decision to go against the tide and do something for yourself but I wish more people would realize that they have what it takes to make it work.

For me, it’s photography, for you it may be dance, singing, or being a scientist. What ever your case is don’t be afraid to take a chance on YOU!!!

  3. Blessings and Great success to all….Where do I begin to tell the story…So many stories so many times, It was when I moved to Cleveland, Ohio and my children were told not to come to live with me because I wouldn’t become nothing of importance, yet they did not know the LOVE my children had for me and the I LOVE I had for them…..Love Conquers. I was told I have great writing skills and many talents, and I wrote a true book, I written poetry, and songs… yes, many talents I shared, yet many haters…who cared… It was the Dean of Cleveland State College who promised opportunity to me , So stepping out on my dream ….. I moved to Cleveland with everything, but my 2 daughters,my son came with me, when I got to Cleveland, It was if she never knew me at all. I met with her on campus and she didn’t have nothing to offer me,after using some of my writings in a show presentations, I knew that door wouldn’t open for me. Nevertheless I was determine to find my way. I starting cleaning rooms, houses, buildings, and I eventually I slept in those rooms with my son for a place to stay…months later my cleaning work had lead me into a position that would change my life. I am Blessed by the Best….I became a sub-contractor for ALPHA Tub and Tile, I moved into my own apartment in Cleveland heights with my children and maintain a better life for myself and my 3 children…….Praise God…so many times…The lord keeps on making a way!!!

  4. I have always been an employee and although I was excelling in a profession that gave me personal satisfaction, I was still subject to the rules and policies of someone else. I have always been one who wanted to do my own thing, I got so tired of the naysayers that I kept this last venture I’m involved in secret from my family and closest friends. I didn’t need their making me focus on their issues instead of making my pipe dream a reality. I am well on my way. I am proof that the right frame of mind, that “successful mindset” makes a world of difference. I have not realized my dreams in totality, but I am seeing the finish line on the horizon. I encourage everyone to listen to their own intuition, that little voice that guides us on our predestined paths. When I listen to mine.I make positive steps toward living the life God has planned for me.
