Well I've never been a victim but I would like to own a gun and get proper training and wouldn't hesitate in using it I might be a little nervous who wouldn't be? But in a dangerous situation it's either them or me I choose me. Cause nowadays these people are crazy, killing and robbing random people with a blink of an eye so I would like to protect myself. And I agree with Lady16 keep it locked from children.

Great topic! I think women living in cities of 300,000 or more residents should own a gun. If the government passed laws restricting gun ownership today, this would would provide criminals with free reign to own guns because criminals don't obey the law.

Women who work late at night or go out alone frequently should consider owning a gun. Criminals usually don't approach a group of women or women accompanied by men.

Women who live alone in a suburban or urban environment should own a gun for perps who keep an eye on women's patterns of coming and going. Women who park on the street and walk to their door should consider owning a gun.

Growing up in Miami, I saw too many incidents where women could have prevented assaults, burglaries, and late night booty calls that went bad. Not saying that women should shoot first and ask questions later all the time, but a warning shot to let the perp know that hot ass metal to the cranium may be in store if the criminal doesn't step back.

I'm not talking about just threats from dudes, but women also rob, steal, assault, etc. Guys may need to put some hot metal in them as well, pardon the pun.

I own a gun license to keep a weapon in the home and might apply for a license to carry a concealed weapon. In Florida and Texas, you can now apply for a concealed gun license and criminals think twice before stepping to you.

Every person considering owning a gun should take courses in small arms safety, handling, storing and firing.

I received my weapons training while serving in the US Armed Forces.

I think anyone who wants to carry a gun, legally has that right to do so, but every precaution should be taken and they should be trained in how and when to use it.
You should use a gun if you or your loved ones are facing the threat of danger to self or lost of life.
Yes I have been a victim but have not used a gun and I don't think I could use a gun unless my life was being threatened.
I don't think that guns should be kept anywhere that a child of any age ca get to it period. Keep the gun in a locked box.
I do not own a gun myself and I don't want to own one. I do believe that if one wants to own a gun and does so legally that is there choice.
