I feel u... I "THANKYOU".... but I have something 2 say that u may not like:

What is a woman to do when the man that hurts her--- the father of her child--- continues to do so through utter disrespect, verbal abuses & name calling & just blatant disregard for anything the woman requests concerning the child that SHE raises, cares for & pays for... ALONE. WHY would... WHY should I subject myself to this individual at all, not to mention my child. I don't care if the man is the father. I DON'T have to take the abuse nor do I have to allow my child to witness it. It may be stubborn, it may be selfish, it very well may be wrong to keep my child from the father, but I don't need, I WON'T ACCEPT the headache, heartache, disrespect & drama that comes along with "Daddy." I know it hurts my child not to have "Dad" around, but it hurts & frustrates me to have him around.... Now I give "MY APOLOGIES"... As far as I'm concerned, it's a necessary evil. Sorry, but that's how I feel.

You have a good point, but I have to stand up for my father. My father did not disappear, he was there, he married my mother before they started having children, he loved, nurtured and cared for his 6 children through everything. He told me that I am a queen and I should not and will not accept to be treated as less. He told me that the ONLY man that I need to stand still for an ass whipping for is him, anyone else will be dealt with swiftly and painfully, as my ex-husband found out. He taught me that I did not NEED a man to complete my life, to make me happy. He freed me to find a man that I want instead of need. My father taught his sons to respect all women and to protect his sisters. And because my father taught me, when that man fled and left me with three children to raise, I did not dispair or neglect my children. I taught my daughter to be smart, strong and secure in her womanhood and to not let a man rule her but guide her in the right way if he is the right man. I taught my sons that all females are princesses and queens and must be respected at the utmost. I taught my sons not to just lay seed and run, I taught my daughter to respect herself and her body and not let a man disrespect her. My children suffered because they did not have a father, but not nearly as much as if I did not have a shining example of manhood. I am alone today because that example rules my decisions today, I refuse to accept less.

WOW! What a message this is all so true! I really enjoyed it. If only our Black men would listen and understand these words... There are a lot of good woman out here including myself and there's also alot of men who don't really know how to treat us. In other words I'm still looking.

Wow I'm speechless too, It has been long overdue, I think men think it's acceptable behavior because sometimes we don't put our foot down, we settle, we don't want to rock the boat, you're scared of being alone, you don't think you're worth being treated like queens, we're not completely blameless but I think we act that way because of the way we're treated and we always have this insatiable need for revenge when we are done wrong never thinking of the kids and how it will affect them, this needs to be a video that is played in our junior/high schools to try and teach the young men and women on how to respect each other because right now it is a big problem among the youth, especially in light of the Chris brown/Rihanna situation! Very eye opening Marcus.
