Oh, No. I spent so much of my childhood trying to avoid stepping on cracks so I don’t ‘break my Mother’s back’. Don’t split the pole when walking with your friends because then?? Who knows. I see my friends still doing ceremonial sweeping of the house prior to New Years. It seems funny how seriously everyone took old wives tales. I still remember my Mother pinning a prayer cloth on me as a child to assist in getting me back to good health. What ever floats your boat.

Man we have tons of these in our family, right shema-gurl? lol. If you dream your teeth are falling out, it means someone close to you is going to die. If you sweep someones feet with the broom, it means that person is going to go to jail, and the only way to prevent it is to spit on the broom! LoL, hilarious, but this was the LAW in my family. And if you did this, everyone would be ready to KILL you…..Don’t open up an umbrella in the house! It causes bad luck??? Geeze, talk about super superstitious family from Louisiana!

Yes I remember some of these myths like…don’t put your purse on the floor because your money will walk away…don’t give your man shoes as a gift, he’ll walk out of your life, if you sneeze it means you are about to have company; as far as dreams, remember that if you dream that you are falling you must wake yourself up before you hit or you won’t wake up. I can think of more they are so funny. This is a great fun topic. It is bringing back lots of old memories. Thanks.
